Just When You Thought It Was Safe

So what do you do when you have a fundamental problem with a co-worker which prevents you from being able to work together? When every project you work on together other than the short, trivial ones ends up in a mass of frustration and anger? What do you say? To whom?

This has been going on for months and although I've tried to be patient and understanding we simply are not able to come to any sort of successful working relationship. I see no other alternative than to go to our mutual boss and lay out the situation and see what can be done.

But things can't go on like this.

Any suggestions?
