Stephanie had her interview and skills assessment test at the Consulting Company this morning. She looked nervous as hell, but she really kicked serious ass on the test, and my boss said that she was very good in the interview.
Does this mean she's hired? I have no idea. Dan sent her assessment results to all the supervisors, so I guess we're supposed to evaluate them and give feedback, or something. He didn't specify in the e-mail. He's kind of a non-specific guy, at times.
After work, I tried to call Stephanie to see what she thought, but my brother's house is like the Fortress of Silence. Sometimes, they answer the phone, sometimes they don't. And there's nothing you can do about it either way. So I left a message for her on her voicemail asking her to call me, letting me know what she thought of the whole process.
I really hope she gets this job. I'd love to work with her, and I know she'd be great at it. Nepotism isn't really such a bad thing, is it?
I got two e-mail responses to my Date Dare. The first one was from Greg, who won't be able to go due to a trip to NYC in the same month. Since I'm planning a trip to Austin sometime this year, we'll have some sort of date, and maybe we'll both make good on a couple of resolutions. We'll see.
The second response was from Mike, who basically said that he was bummed out that he was going to miss the Duran Duran concert because he had a previous engagement with his girlfriend. I told him that it was some sort of cosmic joke that the only man near me who seems to share the same interests all the time is a straight guy. At least I'm not crushing on him...that'd be awkward.
There must be another gay guy in the Boston area who likes 80's pop music, reality TV, science fiction novels, theater, chain restaurants, very quick tours through museums, and hanging out with the family. Or none of those things, but doesn't mind that I do.
As I update this, I'm watching Fear Factor on FX. They had to eat pig rectums. Eventually, the producers are going to make the contestants eat each other.

For this next stunt, you will chose one of your opponents and begin chewing, starting with the feet. Whichever one of you reaches the top of the head first will move on to the next round.
Three, two, one, GO!
I'm extremely rambly tonight. I think it has something to do with the fact that I woke up at 6 a.m., worked a 12-hour shift, and now it's 2 a.m. So I'll close for tonight.
I promised I'd write every day. I didn't promise it'd be all that good.
G'night!
