The Coffin Daggers rock the crap outta the Derry Weaver's earliest work. Where the Gamblers relied on intense rhythm, these guys rely on dark garage edge. The arrangement is very powerful and effective.

"Jutta Aus Kalkutta" reminds me a little of a Kraan song gone awry. The rhythm guitar jangles an infectious rhythm, the chorus suggests fifties pop, the heavy guitar parts offset the delicate floaty leads. It's quite a nice track!

Middle eastern oasis scenes leak from every corner of the tent as "7 Veils a Go Go" floats across the sands. The choppy break counters the desert air with a mechanized urban feel. Great percussion counters the guitar lines. Very cool.

A bass line opens as cautious shimmer and feedback slithers across sundown waterways. In the distance, fins and feminine forms... this is a really good track, with a pretty melody and very nice production. The midsection is a faster more rock thing with a strong rhythm that yields back to surf with a different feel. Excellent!
