Must. Get. Sleep.

One thing I don't think I mentioned is that I slept pretty badly this past weekend - only partly attributable to staying up too late on Friday, I think. I slept badly last night too, and felt tired and not entirely well when I woke up this morning. But I went in to work anyway.

On the plus side, I got more done today than I'd originally expected to, in large part because my main project for the day turned out to be simpler than I'd expected, so I nearly finished it. The one fairly big project is still a couple of days away, since it needs some reviews (a.k.a., reality checks) from some of my cow-orkers. But things are looking fairly good for me to finish my immediate tasks before taking my holiday vacation.

Over the weekend I also found the most excellent cat toy, so I headed down tonight to buy some more of them: They're little colored balls of fuzz a little over an inch in diameter, and laced with silver foil so they crinkle. My cats have been happily playing with them ever since I came home. I hope they haven't been knocking them under the oven...

I'm plugging away at Bujold's Mirror Dance, a little more than a quarter done. I think I can see where it's going, although with another 400 pages to go, there's plenty of space for twists and turns.

And after I wrap up this entry I'm going to watch Sunday's X-Files. Then I can wait for my stock of Homicide re-runs to build up again. Geez, I'm an addict.

And yes, I'll try to get to bed on time tonight.

It seemed to me there was something else I wanted to mention... but I can't remember what it was. Hmm.
