Testosterone Day

Not a lot happened today.

I went to the WisCon meeting this morning, which was pretty simple and okay, although I did not have much to contribute.

After I came home I turned on (ta-da!) the football games, which I watched all afternoon. Actually, I didn't really watch them, I just had them on as background. Instead I bagged and recycled all my newspapers and extra paper (grocery) bags, cleaned off several horizontal surfaces in my apartment, and spent several hours working on my APAzine, which is due Wednesday.

After all the games had ended, I tallied things up and by my estimate I have won the pool this week, regardless of who wins the game tomorrow night. Cool! It will be a really close win (by 1 point out of a possible 91) if New England loses, though. Otherwise I think I win by 7 or 8 points.

I watched some of the World Series game tonight, but the Padres were getting pretty resoundingly beaten on by the Yankees midway through the game, so at 9 pm I turned off the game and turned on WPR's jazz program.

Oh, and it's getting cold out. It might frost tonight. I've closed the windows and even turned on the heat. Although I don't expect the heat will matter until it kicks in tomorrow morning. I hate waking up to a cold apartment. Thank goodness for programmable thermostats. (Note to self: Make sure the house I buy has one, or can have one installed.)
