mIRC Setup Instructions

1) Click on the Add button (I've highlighted it in Yellow) |
2) Fill in the details as listed on the picture to the left. Then Click OK |
3) Ensure the Crowbars of Justice server is selected from the list. |
4) Fill in your details in the areas provided (as you can see, i use a false email address there). Click Connect. If you see a Channels window appear on connection, just check the box at the bottom and close it. That isn't needed.
You're now connected. Congratulations.
First thing to do now is the following:
In the Status window type: /msg authserv@services.gamesnet.net register NICK PWD (Replace Nick with your own nickname and PWD with your own password) |
This is what the status window looks like. You may find that yours doesn't include the same information as mine. |
5) Now click on the File Menu and select Options. |
6) Click on the Perform Option highlighted in Blue.
Check the box that says 'On connect, perform these commands'
On the first line, replace NICK with your registered nickname and PW with your registered Password. (You just registered these, see step 4 above)
Then click on a new line and input the second command.
These two commands do the following: The first authorises you with the IRC Server, the second makes you join our IRC channel automatically.
Now click OK |
7) Close mIRC and now open it again. All you'll need to do now is click the Connect button from step 4. The rest will be done for you.
